Yfrelle & Gavin: A Sweet Belly-full
A couple of weeks ago, my close friend Yfrelle and I did a maternity shoot. She had just finished work and her due date was supposed to be around November 15th. I’m SO glad that we did the photoshoot when we did, as Yfrelle had her son, Gavin Quitania Olson, on October 31st!
We had such a lovely day, full of hair and makeup in the morning and a sweet snack at the Duchess in the afternoon. We started with some photos at Yfrelle’s home and then moved on to take advantage of the sunlight at Hawrelak Park. Despite the wind that had come up that day, it was an inspiring and beautiful day and I’m so pleased with the photos. Enjoy!
An Intimate Wedding
I recently celebrated the marriage of my good friends Annalie and Haig, in which they had such a lovely, intimate and unique ceremony. I wanted to share just one photo for now…their first kiss! Love, love, love.
Julia, Johanna & Daniel – A Beautiful Family
When I photographed my lovely friend Julia, while pregnant with Jojo, it resulted in some of my most favorite photographs. Before I left Montreal in the fall and wanting to capture some more glorious moments, I asked Julia if we could do an outdoor photo shoot with her and Johanna. The weather was beautiful and warm, the sun was shining and we were at one of my most favorite fields in the Mile End. Johanna has the most priceless facial expressions and is definitely one of the cutest kids of all time! It was also SO wonderful that Daniel was able to join us for some adorable family shots.
I’m so glad that I was able to do this photo shoot and spend one of my last days with these lovely ladies. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
Love is in the air
Fall time is so lovely sometimes and this was definitely a special weekend. The sun was glorious and warm, which made it perfect for the engagement shoot of my beautiful sister and her soon to be husband! We all had a lot of fun running around our family farm and biking at the cabin.

I love the word love. I probably use the word lovely more than I should…although really, I love using it.
I took this photograph a little while ago and I was inspired to write the letter and photograph it because I had dreamed of love letters the night before. I’m not too sure why I was dreaming about that, although I’m glad I was.
I hope that one day I will find a love letter like this on the pillow beside me in bed. I also hope that if you’re reading this, then you’ll find one as well or already have because everyone deserves love letters in their life.
p.s. if you would like to send this as a card to your loved one, then i have some waiting for you!
A Wonderful Royal Bison Weekend
This past weekend, I was a vendor at the Royal Bison craft fair, alongside many other amazingly crafty folk. My super talented, lovely and dear friend, Sarah Jackson, had her table set up right next to mine and we had a blast spending the weekend together.
My neighbours on the other side were Seth and Chris (the yo-yo guys) and they were mesmerizing me all weekend with their wicked yo-yo-ing. I may have even yo-yo’d a bit myself.
My sleep deprivation and wine bribing for last minute, late night help was TOTALLY worth it in the end. I loved being in the crafty environment that was the Royal Bison and was so happy that my weekend was filled with friendly faces, photo selling, and reconnections to lost friends.
Thank you to anyone who came by, brought me a latte and bought any of my photography work! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
The biggest thank you goes out to my parents and sister for being my biggest supporters and always being there when I need you! Je t’aime.
